HANPHYLLIN AND JACQUILENIN FROM Picris rigida

Species of the genus Picris L. (oxtongues) are perennial plants that grow throughout the world. Four species are indigenous to Kazakhstan. Picris rigida Ledeb. grows in sand, gravel, stony and rocky slopes, and in weedy places [1]. We studied chemically the aerial part of P. rigida collected in July 2011 during flowering in the vicinity of Kyzyl- Kain, Bukhar-Zhyrau District, Karaganda Province, Republic of Kazakhstan.
