Management of severe acute pancreatitis: The Peking Union Medical College Hospital experience from 1984 to 2001

To discuss recent advances in diagnostic techniques for severe acute pancreatitis. To discuss recent changes in the treatment of severe acute pancreatitis, and to evaluate their effects.Sixty-two patients who were admitted to Peking Union Medical College Hospital with severe acute pancreatitis between April 1984 and June 2001 were reviewed.
