Reply to Hughes etal.: Impact of cleaning and other interventions on the reduction of hospital-acquired Clostridium difficile infections in two hospitals in England assessed using a breakpoint model

I read with great interest the recent article by Hughes et al. entitled 'Impact of cleaning and other interventions on the reduction of hospital-acquired Clostridium difficile infections in two hospitals in England using a breakpoint model'.1 I am in full agreement with the authors, who stated that re-inforced environmental cleaning and disinfection, particularly hydrogen peroxide automated surface decontamination, contribute to improved surface safety and therefore a reduction in hospital-associated infection rates.
