G-Protein Coupled Receptors (GPCRs) are increasingly among today's number one category of targets for the pharmaceutical industry. As an essential gateway leading to the regulation of cellular physiology, they represent a highly druggable group of therapeutic targets, as can be seen from the number of drugs already developed for clinical indications ranging from inflammation, obesity, cardiac and central nervous system dysfunction - to mention only a few.
