Primary malignant lymphoma in the deep palmar tissue

A 72-year-old woman had a slowly enlarging mass in the left hand for 13 years, which was painless and asymptomatic. In 2010, she was referred to our hospital because enlargement of the mass had progressed to the point where it was difficult for her to close the hand or grasp objects. On examination, three soft tumour masses were palpable on the palmar aspect between the transverse and central creases. A soft tissue tumour was also palpable on the dorsal aspect between the middle and ring metacarpal bones. Except for the swellings in the left hand, there were no other signs or symptoms.
