Sir Dave Brailsford is considered one of the principal architects in transforming, Great Britain's cycling fortunes over the last decade. In 2009 he was appointed the performance director and manager of a new professional British road cycling team, Team Sky. His aim - to create the first British winner of the Tour de France, within five years. This was achieved, by Bradley Wiggins in 2012, and twice since by Chris Froome. By the time you read this there may be a fourth 'Yellow Jersey' in the UK bank.
