Umbilical intestinal prolapse in a calf.

A newborn female calf was presented with a loop-like structure protruding from the abdomen (Pondicherry, India, date not given). The calf was born after an uncomplicated delivery. Physical examination revealed that the small intestines protruded from the abdomen through the umbilicus. The calf died half an hour after its presentation.
