Effect of age, sex and season on the sweat gland density and depth in Deoni cattle

The data on sweat gland density and depth was obtained from each of 60 male and female Deoni cattle, studied in different seasons and age groups. Greater density was found in summer. The male calves showed higher density than female ones. The sweat glands were located superficial in summer. The depth was found higher in male animals. There was reduction in the density and increase in the depth of the sweat glands with the advancement of age.
