Therapeutic evaluation of amitraz, deltamethrin and ivermectin in experimental canine demodicosis

Demodex mites were found absent in 100 percent, 83 percent and 50 percent of pups treated with amitrax, deltamethrin and ivermectin respectively at the end of observation period of 5 weeks as against clinical cure of 100 percent, 99.33 percent and 74.03 percent in the same pups. Amitraz (Ektodex) was found superior to all other drugs used in the trial.
