A Case of Uterine Torsion in Ewe and its Correction by Adopting Schaf er's Method

This communication reports a case of uterine torsion in pluriparous ewe. The animal was brought to the TVCC with a complaint of dystocia. Pervaginal examination with vaginal speculum revealed twisting of vagina in an anticlockwise fashion, cervix could not be visualized. Schafer's methodof detorsion in large animals was adopted with a fewmodifications. Lambing was successfulafter rolling the dam using a plank.
