Endoscopic Removal of Oesophageal Foreign Body (Polythene Bag)in a Calf - A Case Report

A two month old female buffalo calf was presented with a history of regurgitation of milk through mouth and nostrils. Clinical Examination revealed distended abdomen and tympanic sound on percussion. Contrast radiography revealed partial obstruction of cardia by foreign body, leading to restricted barium flow. Oesoph-agoscopy under sedation with xylazine, clumped mass of polythene bags was visualized at the cardia region and was successfully removed using the endoscopic foreign body retrieval forceps.
