Congenital Absence of Teats (Athelia) in Cross Bred Cow

摘要

Congenital aberration in the mammary gland of the cows includes many structural defects such as fusion of teats, funnel shape tests and the only one of significance is supernumerary teats (Aiello, 1998). Congenital aplastic deformities of the breast include amastia (total absence of breasts and nipple), amazia (absence of the mammary gland) reported by Ozsov et al. (2007) and athelia (absence of teats reported by Chanem (2011). In the present appear a rare case of athelia in a cross bred cow was reported. In the present paper a rare case of absence of teats (athelia) in a cross bred cow was reported.
