Effect of Polyherbal Dietary Supplementation on Egg Yolk Lipid in Poultry

The present investigation was undertaken to elucidate the hypocholestremic effect of polyherbal preparation containing E. officinalis, W. somnifera,0. sanctum, M.indicaand T. cordifolia in the ratio of 3:2:2:2:i on egg yolk lipid profile in birds. Itwas concluded from the study that the polyherbal preparation at the dose rate of 4500mg/kg of the diet showed a significant hypocholestremic effect (P < 0.05) on day 56 and can be used for reducing lipid contents in egg yolk.
