Saurer textile division's order intake up 6%

Saurer's order intake for 2004 was EUR 1 711m (+0%).After adjustment for acquisitions and divestments (Surface Technology) and also for currency effects,this represents an increase of 7% over the prior year.Sales were EUR 1 618m,a decrease of 1% compared to the prior year after adjustment as above.Orders on hand are EUR 467m,14% above the year-end value of 2003.
