Indian textile industry's status in WTO regime

Indian textile industry's presence in the international trade is already very low with around 3% of the total world trade in textiles.Besides,the unit price realisation of Indian exports is one of the lowest in the world.However,as the Indian textile industry is predominantly cotton based,the cotton textile exports account for 14% of the total cotton textile trade in the world.
