A time to build bridges

The past year saw many changes and challenges for all health care providers. We now need to focus on strengthening our position and partnership with our colleagues. AANP has increased its membership to over 48,000, and we have hired an expert team of lobbyists to work on behalf of nurse practitioners. While this success is monumental in itself, it is not the end of our work, only the beginning. As we move farther into 2014, we need to focus on building bridges with other health care providers, especially physician colleagues.
