Lately, when I read nurse practitioner (NP) list-serves, I see some NPs who work for hospitals or who admit patients to hospitals complaining that their facility has decided that NPs will be credentialed through the medical staff, rather than through human resources (HR) or the nursing department. They worry that they won't receive fair treatment under the medical staff.
