摘要

Regarding Philip J. Schneider's article "Hormone Replacement Therapy for Menopause," I would like to comment that there are new indications for hormone replacement therapy and estrogen replacement therapy being studied that may broaden the lens by which we as health care providers guide our prescribing protocols. Important findings particularly suggest a reduced risk of Alzheimer disease and studies are additionally reviewed with important findings relative to Parkinson disease, frontotemporal dementia, and HIV-associated neurocognitive disorder in the article by Dye et al.
