ANSI- ISO/IEC JTC 1 Forms Two Working Groups on Big Data and Internet of Things

The International Organization for Standardization/International Electrotechnical Commission (ISO/IEC) Joint Technical Committee (JTC) 1, Information Technology, announced the creation of two Working Groups (WGs) focused on standardization in connection with big data and the Internet of Things (IoT). The new groups were created at the ISO/IEC JTC 29th plenary meeting, held November 15- 20 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). As the official U.S. memberto ISO, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) calls for U.S. expert stakeholders to get involved in these new areas of activity.
