A study was conducted to identify promising polysomic progenies in terms of yield and yield components in the A14-A16 generations of the interspecific cross Avena sativa x A. maroccana. The parameters tested included: plant height, tiller number, leaf number, flag leaf length, flag leaf width, leaf sheath length, longest leaf length, longest leaf width and internode length. The derivatives of amphidecaploids with chromosome number 2n = 7x + 1 = 50; 2n = 9x + 3 = 66; and 2n = 8x +6 = 62 were important as the showed increased potential for leaf characters..
