Breaking rock is a challenging task today because of an increased environmental awareness and continuous pressure of higher production expectations. Heavy demand of the energy and minerals lead to handle more excavations and productions keeping the work of blasting engineers at a toe. Increasing production cost and minimal damages to environment become the priority issues in blasting operations. Now a day's concept of urban mining and space technology involved extensive usage of controlled blasting techniques. The fallowings are the essential requisites for any normal blast to achieve its objectives.
