National Workshop on 'Blasting, Explosive Technology & Safety in Mining and Infrastructure Developments' Held at VNIT, Nagpur During 3rd Dec. to 5th Dec, 2009 Concluded

Dept. of Mining Engg, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur has organized national workshop on 'Blasting, Explosive Technology &Safety in Mining and Infrastructure Developments" during 3rd Dec to 5th Dec, 2009. Workshop dealt with present practices of blasting and problems faced by blasting engineers in opencast and underground mines and also uprising infrastructure like tunnels, caverns, underground space technology etc, it also focused on the innovative techniques and concerned environment safety. The workshop was inaugurated by Shri D. C. Garg, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Western Coal Fields Ltd., Nagpur. Shri O. P. Miglani, Director Personnel, WCL was guest of Honour.
