MDR-TB - INTERVENTIONAL STRATEGY

At the outset I would like to thank TB Association of India and its key functionaries namely, the Chairman Dr. R.K. Srivastava, Vice Chairmen, Dr. V.K. Arora and Dr. M.M. Singh and all others who have selected me for this prestigious Oration. I would also like to thank Dr. O.A. Sarma for instituting such an award which motivates the TB workers in the country. Lastly I would like to thank my teachers, the LRS Institute of TB & RD and all my patients who have been my guiding spirit in the battle against TB. On deciding for the topic of this lecture, I have selected one of the major emerging threats to TB Control i.e. Multi Drug Resistant TB (MDR) and would accordingly deliberate on "MDR-TB Interventional Strategy".
