Neutral fielding: a background correction method for large gel analysis

摘要

The accuracy of quantitative measurements based on the image analysis of gel patterns is directly dependent on the uniformity of the light illuminating the gel. Particularly with large gels, there can be a significant variation of such illumination across the gel. A novel software correction system, known as neutral fielding, can compensate for such background variability.
