It has long been known that glycosy-lation of proteins has an important role in determining final molecular properties such as solubility, stability and protease resistance. For this reason it is important to characterise the oligosaccharides as fullyas possible. Because of their enhanced separation efficiency and shorter analysis times, capillary electrophoresis (CE) techniques are being used more and more for such applications. As an example, this article describes the isolation, separation and profiling analysis of N-linked carbohydrates from a mouse monoclonal IgC.
