To-sponsored by Longwood Gardens, the ACS annual meeting held on Feb. 22-24 was an event to remember, and to learn from—chock-filled with good times, good friends, great speakers, enlightening demonstrations and, of course, beautiful blooms. In thisspecial section, we share some of the meeting's highlights: Beginning on the following pages, a number of members who attended the conference give their thumbs-up and report on what they saw and learned. On page 16, Christine Parks reports on the heightened interest in growing one of the most mysterious camellias—the tea plant. On page 20, world-famous plant hunter Dan Hinkley offers dozens of ideas for camellia companions—plants that look nice with camellias and require the same conditions.
