The American Camellia Society has a program to support research to find a control for Camellia Petal Blight, Ciborinia camelliae, as well as a reward for the individual or firm who finds a cure for it. This campaign was named, almost from its start, Fight Blight. The history of this can be found in past publications of the American Camellia Society. It might, however, be best to start with the history of the inception of the committee which came to oversee Fight Blight.
