Sensor film measures pressure between surfaces

Sensor Products Inc., has introduced Super Pressurex~ò, a tactile force-indicating sensor film that now is 50 percent more accurate, according to the company. The sensor is suitable for assessing compression magnitude and distribution between any two mating or impacting surfaces.The film is similar in size to a sheet of copy paper. When placed between impacting or mating surfaces, the sensor film instantaneously and permanently changes color. The intensity of this color is proportional to the amount of force applied, allowing the user to quantify the stress characteristics across surface.
