Pukhkov, Baeva, an der Br¨ugge andM¨unster have recently commented [1] on a letter published by us [2]. The topic in question deals with the scaling of high harmonics in ultraintense laser-plasma interactions and the issue at stake is our contention that the similarity theory model formulated by Baeva, Gordienko and Pukhov, no longer serves to characterize the plasma dynamics uniquely once plasma effects contribute to the interaction physics. We respond to the key points raised in [1] in this comment.
