Radiofrequency Ablation for Skeletal Metastasis of Papillary Carcinoma of the Thyroid Conjunct Treatment With Radioablative Iodine

Utilization of radiofrequency ablation has received attention in the treatment of various neoplasms. Given the broader patient population applicable to this modality, decreased cost relative to surgical alternatives, and minimal complications, this technique is an attractive option for patients with metastatic disease. We report the use of radiofrequency ablation in combination with radioactive iodine for the curative treatment of metastatic papillary carcinoma of the thyroid to the humerus.
