PMA DATA WATCH:PHOTO GREETING CARD MARKET GROWS MORE COMPETITIVE

The growth of photo greeting cards made from personal photos slowed significantly in 2007,according to the 2008 PMA U.S.Digital Imaging Consumer Survey.The survey showed U.S.consumers made 563 million greeting cards from photos they took with their own digital cameras in 2007,up from 504 million in 2006,and 270 million in 2005.Greeting card volumes,therefore,grew at a much slower pace in 2007 - just 12 percent - compared to 87 percent in 2005.
