Bisnius subuliformis (Gravenhorst) and Quedius nigrocaeruleus Fauvel (Staphylinidae) new to Ireland, from bird boxes

An opportunity to examine the contents of bird boxes was afforded during a visit on 27 November 2012 to Loughgall Country Park, Co. Armagh. A team of workers cleaning and renovating boxes in the park was encountered and the discarded contents of around 12 boxes were sieved for beetles.
