Stenus geniculatus Gravenhorst(Staphylinidae) apparently new to Berkshire(VC 22)

Several male Stenus geniculatus Gravenhorst were suction sampled from beneath mature ling Calluna vulgaris in the Wishmoor Bottom area of Old Dean Common, nr Camberley, VC 22(Denton,pers. comm;Hammond, pers. comm.).This apperas to be the first record for this species in being to close to the Surrey border, where the species is known to occur at Chobham Common(Denton,2005;Hammond, pers.comm.).
