Uleiota planata (Linnaeus) (Silvanidae) new to Leicestershire

In 2002 I contracted to undertake a saproxyhc Coleoptera survey oí the grounds and park on behalf of the Stanford Estate, Leicestershire (SP5879). The final report indicated a significantsaproxylic fauna attached mainly to the veteran oaks and an SQI of 421.5 and an IEC of 32 resulted. As part of the management plan, a review schedule was suggested in order to assess the effectiveness the Estate's implementation of recommendations for conserving and improving the deadwood habitats. In June and July 2012 the follow up review visits were made, including a brief beetle survey.
