The Ochthebius viridis complex in Britain and Ireland (Hydraenidae)

Manfred Jach (1991), in reviewing the Palaearctic species of the Ochthebius marinusgroup, drew attention to the problems posed by the complex of species associatedwith 0. viridis Peyron. Jach & Delgado (2008) have established a taxonomy fromwhich we may recognise that we have two almost certainly functional species withinBritain and Ireland, formerly treated as 0. viridis sensu lato.
