Secher made ceo at Clariant as Loesser takes chairmanship

THE Swiss speciality chemicals company Clariant has appointed Jan Secher as its new ceo,replacing Roland Loesser,who will take over as chairman from the retiring Robert Raeber.Secher holds a degree in industrial marketing from Linkoeping Institute of Technology in his native Sweden.He has spent the bulk of his career with ABB,where he managed the automation and drives division in Japan and later joined the company's managing board.For the past two years,Secher has headed the Lauseanne-based packaging and security inks maker Sicpa.
