HSE to recover costs from lawbreakers

BRITAIN'S Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has put into force a scheme to claw back the costs of dealing with companies that break the law. As of 1 October, the HSE can use the so-called Fee for Intervention (FFI) scheme to recover costs related to inspection, investigation and taking enforcement against lawbreakers. Companies that meet their legal obligations will continue to pay nothing.
