Korea bid for Dana goes hostile

KNOC, the Korea National Oil Company, has launched a hostile ￡1.87b ($2.9b) takeove: bid for UK oil explorer Dana Petroleum. The bid is widely expected to succeed after KNOC also bought almost 30% of Dana's shares on the open market, for ￡490m ($763m).
