SAMSUNG C&T and Korea Electric Power have signed an agreement with the Ontario state government to invest C$7b ($6.7b) in a 2500 MW renewable power project. The project will see the construction of 2000 MW of wind and 500 MW of solar power in clusters across Ontario. By 2016, Ontario hopes the clusters will produce 4% of its energy. An initial 500 MW cluster in southern Ontario will be completed in early 2013.
