摘要

A magnificent article entitled "Stress and Fitness Monitoring Embedded on a Modern Telematics Platform" was published by Takenga et al. in this journal, and I have to interpret this article with curiosity. I have a few enhancements and comments to suggest about this article.The objective of this article was to develop an efficient and cost-effective stress and fitness homecare monitoring system. A sensor electronic module on a special chest belt was used for acquiring several physiological parameters, and their online transmission to a mobile phone is also possible via Bluetooth? (Bluetooth SIG, Kirk-land, WA) technology.2 Normally, Bluetooth technology is intended for short-range communication, within approximately a few meters, and it operates at an unlicensed frequency band of 2.45 GHz. Because of this unlicensed frequency band, the complication of a short range of communication with lack of security may be raised, and this limitation should be considered to safeguard the patient's data.
