Applications of molecular dynamics to material development

Molecular dynamics is not only be applied for material science and material development, but also applied for pure chemical science, rather it is applied for chemical science by its nature. However, molecular dynamics are being actively applied for material development. All of major national research institute in charge of R&D on material development are actively promoting R&D applying molecular dynamics in addition to university professors. As mentioned earlier, RIKEN developed world fastest parallel supercomputer of 50TFLOPS dedicated to molecular dynamic studies.
