Encouraging drill results at Sepon

ONGOING drilling at and around Minmetals Resources' Minerals and Metals Group (MMG) Sepon project in southeast Laos has returned encouraging results in shallow oxide gold. Drilling has extended the footprint of deposits and generated information that will add new tonnes to the next reserve and resource statement to be issued early in the new year. Results include 3 metres @ 6.3 grams/tonne gold at the Vang Ngang East prospect and 11 metres @ 2.56 grams/tonne at the Vang Ngang South prospect. Primary gold drilling has generated encouraging results at Phavat North prospect, including 3 metres @ 26.5 grams/tonne and 15 metres @ 1.46 grams/tonne. Drilling at Thengkham East continues to outline extensive zones of primary copper-gold mineralization with results including 123 metres @ 0.64% copper and 0.14 grams/tonne gold. Encouraging results in primary copper-gold were also returned from Khanong South, including 8.2 metres @ 1.17% copper and 0.40 grams/tonne gold.
