KEMCO prpjects on a fast track

SOUTHEAST Asia Mining Corp has put the KEMCO lead-zinc-silver properties in Thailand on a fast track permitting process as it aims to begin producing at the two former operating mines. The company has refurbished a mill, is updating an Nl 43-101 report, is carrying out near-mine exploration, including drilling, and is confident of receiving the mining permit renewal in 2012. The Kanchanaburi Exploration and Mining Co (KEMCO) joint venture properties include the past operating Boh Yai and Song Toh mines as well as the Song Toh flotation plant with daily capacity of 1200 tonnes. The property is in west Thailand and is on a major regional fault structure that extends more than 200km into Myanmar. The two past producing mines are 19km apart, while the former Padaeng mine and operating smelter is also in the region.
