Concern at new gold export tax

OLYMPUS Pacific Minerals is concerned about the effects that a new 10% export tax on gold dore will have on its Vietnamese projects and is making representations to the government seeking an exemption. Vietnam's Ministry of Finance has released a circular declaring that the new tax will be effective from January 1, 2011. It says refined gold is exempt from the tax.
