摘要

A level measuring method for liquid CO{sub}2 in closed metal tanks is described. In order todetermine the filling level the temperature of the metal tank is analysed. The measuring method basedon the different film-coefficients of liquid and gaseous CO{sub}2. Because of the outside mountedSensors no drill-holes and cable-connections through the tank are necessary. The influence of theproperties of the tank and the included fluids on the measuring method is described. Using thedescribed equipment one measuring-sequence takes 180 seconds. The accuracy of the filling levelmeasuring is about 4 cm. The measuring method is applicable up to a view degrees under the criticaltemperature of CO{sub}2 (T{sub}c = 31.04℃). Beyond it, the method is applicable to other liquids,especially liquid gases.
