Klean Industries, a Vancouver, BC-based gasification and pyrolysis technology firm, says it has signed a three-year agreement with Dow Chemical to develop ways to recover energy, chemicals, and oil from end-of-life waste plastics. Financial terms were not disclosed. Klean's technology is capable of processing mixed plastics, including polyethylene terephthalate and polyvinyl chloride, at up to 20% of the infeed supply, in addition to the more predominant polyethylene, polypropylene, and polystyrene.
