The CW75 index rose 1.3%, outpacing the MSCI World and the S&P 500 indexes, both of which were essentially flat. Basic chemical shares increased 4%, diversified shares were up 1.1%, and specialty stocks were up less than 1%. Shanghai Petrochemical and Braskem topped the leaders list, up 12% and 6.5%, respectively. Omnova Solutions and Wacker Chemie topped the laggards list, down 5.5% and 5%, respectively.
