Clariant says its sales increased 6% in the second quarter of 2012, to SF1.98 billion ($2.03 billion) compared with SF1.87 billion in secondquarter 2011. Net profts increased, from SF40 million in the second quarter of 2011 to SF70 in the second quarter of 2012, refecting lower negative currency impact and lower taxes, the company says. Growth in the rest of the world ofset a decrease in Europe.
