BASF Acquires PET Foam Business from Italian Company

BASF says it has acquired the polyethylene terephthalate (PET) business of B.C. Foam (Volpiano, Italy). The acquisition includes production facilities, and intellectual property as well as a PET extrusion process, which enables the production of high-performance PET foams with very high densities, BASF says.
