The CW75 index declined 2% for the week ended July 24, a wider loss than the MSCI World Index and the S&P 500, which fell 1.4% and 1.9%, respectively. Basic chemical shares decreased 2.3%, diversifed shares fell 1.8% and specialty stocks were down 2%. Georgia Gulf posted the biggest gain for the week, at 18.7%, followed by Avery Dennison and Celanese, with gains of 9.4% and 7.6%, respectively.
